In August 1998, Kansas City Equity Partners invested to enable her to launch her second location. Clark, in 2004, opened Build-A-Bear Workshop to the public. In Sheffield, England, the firm launched its first international franchise and licensed Hasbro to produce a home bear-stuffing kit.

The success of this stock is due to the comparatively inexpensive price of the stuffed bears for younger children drew large crowds, which suffocated the franchise’s stores and many retail malls where Build-A-Bear franchisees are positioned.

Build-A-Bear established six pop-up pilot shops in Walmart stores for the 2018 Christmas season. As a result of the pilot’s success, Build-A-Bear expanded into more Walmart locations in 2019.

The build-your-own-teddy-bear business located in St. Louis reported $255 million in income for fiscal year 2020, down $83 million from the previous year. The stock of Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc (BBW) has increased by about 560% in the last year. It has risen this month, due to a growing consumer demand.
